Picked off a Mark Brunell pass for James Thrash and ran up the left sideline for his first pro score. He also had 1 special teams tackle…Left the game in the 3rd quarter with a neck strain that ended his season and forced him to go on injured reserve.
COLLEGE:
- Started 34 of 45 games in which he played at Akron…Finished his career with 293 tackles (179 solo), 11 sacks, 38.5 tackles for losses and 3 interceptions…Started all 11 games as a senior and finished 3rd on the team with 71 tackles (41 solo), 5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for losses…Was voted a team captain.
OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY: - Joined teammates to visit wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, D.C. prior to the Super Bowl champions’ trip to the White House. - Participated in the Athletes in Action youth football clinic at Giants Stadium. - Attended the United Way of NYC’s 2007 “Gridiron Gala.” - Participated in Grey Ruegamer’s “Bowling for Books” fundraiser in Las Vegas, Nevada. - Greeted Giants fans at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. - Participated in Alliance Baptist Church’s Fundraiser Golf Outing. - Made a Giants’ “What Moves U” visit to Thompson Middle School in Middletown, N.J., to speak to students about the importance of physical activity. - Spoke to high school student-athletes about the importance of academics at the N.A.T.S. combine hosted at Giants Stadium. - Participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Outing. - Participated in the 2007 Giants Foundation Golf Outing. - Participated in the Ironman of Golf Charity Golf Outing. - Showed off his culinary expertise in the Giants Player Developments’ “Gridiron Chef Cook-off.” - Attended the Jackson (N.J.) Pop Warner Football awards banquet, congratulating the kids on a great season. - Visited members of the National Guard at McGuire AFB in New Jersey, and participated in a refueling flight.
